Junior Mini Sampler Beginning Quilt Class



Calling all kids 10-18!  This class is a perfect introduction to begin your creative journey into the wonderful world of quilting. In three class sessions, you will learn how to use a rotary cutter and ruler efficiently, better pressing skills, common piecing methods and putting it all together with a sashing for a quilt top.   The squares  involve a four patch, rail fence and half square triangles which will be building blocks for lots of different quilt designs.

Student should have experience with a sewing machine and know how to sew a straight line.  You can take our Beginner Bee Machine Basics and Rotary Cutting Basic class.

During the first class session you will get assistance on how to mix and match your favorite colors and pick fabrics and for this project. 

Bring your own machine or rent one from us. ($10 per session) (limited machines available)

Class participants will receive 20% off supplies & fabrics required for class, just remind us at the register!

Sewing Machine with 1/4 in. foot  or equivalent and bobbin
small scissors

rotary cutter
6 1/2 x 24 1/2 rotary cutter ruler
