Wonky Houses
This is a 12 block quilt, presented in four sessions. You will receive 3 blocks each month. The blocks in
the quilt introduce new techniques, which we will combine as the quilt builds. Bring your sewing
machine and learn some new paper piecing skills!

Supplies needed for Wonky Houses:
Sewing machine with 1/4” foot and open toe regular foot.
Rotary cutter and small cutting mat
6x6 or 8x8 ruler
6x6 or 8x8 ruler
Scotch tape
Thread, scissors, pins, sewing machine needles, seam ripper
Note pad
Card stock (5”x7”)
Fabric Requirements:
5 yards colorful scraps (batiks work great for this project)
2 yd sky/background
1 yd ground/grass
1 yd sashing
1 yd border (can be same as sashing)

| Instructor Bio: | I started quilting in 2006, when a friend moved to my small town of Canyon, Texas. We started with a Saturday sampler type quilt, which only met once a month… I needed something to keep myself occupied in between classes, so I made a baby quilt for my oldest grandson. In fact, I made 22 quilts that first year. I retired from my full-time job in 2016, relocating first to Louisiana and then to Edgewood in 2020. I sew almost every day. I love all things quilty! There are very few techniques I haven’t tried! I’m excited to share my love of quilting with others! |
